The Camping & Caravanning Club Appoints New Finance & HR Director

Richard Griffiths has been appointed as The Camping and Caravanning Club’s new Finance and HR Director with immediate effect.

He was formerly Head of Finance at the Club, having joined in August last year from the University of Leicester where he was Deputy Director of Finance responsible for a number of areas including the financial, legal and commercial aspects of the university campus estates, and financial funding.

Richard joins the Club’s Senior Leadership Team of staff directors at a key time. He takes over from Sabina Voysey who last month was announced as the Club’s new Director General. Sabina will replace Robert Louden MBE, who retires later this year, and is currently Director General Designate.

Richard, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, said:

“I’ve really enjoyed my first seven months with the Club and visited a wide variety of our campsites. The Club is an interesting, friendly and diverse place to work and I’m really looking forward to joining the Senior Leadership Team as we continue to develop the Club for the benefit of our members.”

Richard enjoyed many caravanning breaks as a youngster and is a regular visitor to Devon and Cornwall for family holidays.

He added:

“One of the great aspects about working at the Club is that we are dedicated to helping others make the most of their passions and pastimes – camping in all its different forms – to create memorable holidays.”

Prior to his role at the University of Leicester, Richard held roles at Grant Thornton UK and Deloitte.
