The Roma Club

Membership of the Romaclub is open to owners of any model of Romahome – these are vehicles manufactured by Romahome (formerly Island Plastics).

In September 1985 Island Plastics called together the owners of Romahomes and Romini caravans to see if they were interested in forming an owners club.

The 100 plus people present decided that they would like a club, and in February 1986 at the Excelsior Hotel in Birmingham the first official meeting of the Romaclub was held. Six months later, in August 1986, the first Romaclub rally was held at Newmarket Racecourse. The Romaclub currently has around 200 members.

The Romaclub produces a magazine called the Review for its members containing information about rallies, updates on fellow members and their travels, news from Romahome, advice on technical matters, hints and tips on maintenance and equipment.

Romaclub Members also benefit from offers from companies throughout the UK.

The Romaclub’s AGM is held in May every year giving members the opportunity to catch up, relax and enjoy the entertainment and activities hosted by the club.

Aside from the formal Annual General Meeting where members discuss and vote on Club matters, a typical AGM involves, a shared meal, entertainment (both professional and home-grown), a table-top sale, photographic and craft competitions, and sporting competitions (boules) amongst other activities. There are regular free refreshments throughout the weekend, the opportunity to get advice from fellow members and representatives from the manufacturer and dealers who attend.
