The ubiquitous VW Beetle achieved fame more than 60 years ago and, in more recent years, was further immortalised with the introduction of the first VW Camper Van. The old style VW Type 2 is still very much in demand and lives on through Bristol based Importer, Danbury motorcaravans.
Danbury supplies new 2008 Type 2 Camper Vans and with ever-growing waiting lists many famous people are now joining the ‘Danbury’ family. Nick Park of Wallace and Gromit fame recently collected his new green VW Danbury VW Type 2 as did Neil Fox, the London based Radio DJ, with his blue Type 2 - both seen collecting their new vehicles. Other celebrities include Agi Goulcher from TV’s ‘How clean is your house’ and Edwina Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster’s daughter.
The new VW Type 2 models use the latest 'TOTAL FLEX' engine for lower emissions and better fuel economy than the hitherto 1600cc fuel injected air-cooled engine used until recently.
Danbury motorcaravans recently moved to a new £3million state-of-the-art 43,000 sq ft import centre and have also launched a number of 'modern' camper vans based on VW T5, Fiat Doblo and the stunning new Renault Master LWB which is available with either 4 or 6 berths! « go back
