Image Autocruise, the luxury motorhome manufacturer, has been purchased by Swift Holdings (UK) Ltd. and will continue to be operated as a separate company offering a range of coachbuilt and van conversion motorhomes.

Swift Holdings is the owner of Swift Group Ltd., manufacturers of the Swift, Abbey, Ace, Bessacarr, Sprite and Sterling brands, which span the touring caravan, motorhome and holiday home markets. They also own Burstwick Freight Services, the largest caravan, motorhome and holiday home transport specialists in the industry.

The purchase of Autocruise is a stand-alone investment by the holding company and will have a separate strategy and management to the Group's other motorhome interests.

"Autocruise has established a strong reputation for its unique design and construction qualities and these will be maintained under our ownership. The factory at Mexborough, near Rotherham, is modern and has benefited from investment over recent years and this makes it sensible to keep Autocruise as a completely separate company," commented Peter Smith, Swift Holdings Chairman.
