It has a very simple twistgrip throttle with a push button switch that allows you to switch between either pedal power or throttle power. We recommend the use of the throttle as no power is used until this is opened.This means you can ride the flat roads and down hills as an ordanairy cycle and only use power when the going gets harder on the slopes or hills. Our customers tell us the range of the bike is nearly 40 miles in this mode rather that the 20 miles when on pedal assist.Its a great way to get gentle exercise without ever pushing yourself too much and as you get fitter you use the throttle less and less.
