Under the regulations of the pet travel scheme, pets are permitted to enter or re-enter Britain from approved countries without undergoing six months' quarantine, provided that they have been:

* microchipped
* blood tested
* vaccinated

Dog Vaccinations Required for Travelling Outside Britain Before travelling outside Britain, your dog will need to be vaccinated against rabies. Details of these kinds of dog vaccinations must be recorded in a very specific manner to be valid for travel purposes. The certification must include the following items:

* date of birth/age of dog (if known)
* microchip number (and date fitted, if known)
* type, name and batch number of rabies vaccine
* date that next rabies vaccine booster injection will be required.
