24-30th May 2008 National Camping and Caravanning WeekBe part of the biggest and ‘wildest’ event of the year.

National Camping and Caravanning Week (NCCW) is a campaign brought to you by The Camping and Caravanning Club. Its aims are to get more people thinking and talking about camping, highlighting the benefits both to individuals but also to tourism within the UK.

Last year, significant research was launched into the impact of campers on ‘spend in local economies’ as well as a secondary research project concerning the outdoor activities undertaken during their camping holiday. Both research projects are available on request.

Now in its eighth year, NCCW08 looks set to capture the imagination of more people than ever.Be part of the biggest and ‘wildest’ event of the year. National Camping and Caravanning Week 2008 is going ‘wild’ in celebration of the green and open places we all love to camp and also asking the question. Do we really know what wildlife we’re camping next to?

So if you’re planning or thinking about camping out over the May Bank Holiday and staying at an award-winning Camping and Caravanning Club Site, a smaller, Certificated Site or one of the thousands of camp sites and locations around the UK then take part in NCCW08.
